Band: Station 20

Joplin, Missouri, U.S.A

Many thanks to Arni for being a great friend and all the help on finding my new bass. Keep up all the good work. It´s making a difference.

24 years!! Wow! Always was facinated with the bass guitar. It was always what I heard first when I listened to my favorite music. Needless to say I started with an old right hander restrung and pounded out "somke on the water" and "25 orsix to four" from Chicago over and over.
My first band was "Allnite" which was 5 guys and a whole lot of jammin´! Along the years I´ve been in several different projects, metal, blues, progessive rock. But my first love was always heavy music.
In Jan. of 2001 5 guys formed "Station 20" and we have worked up 8 self-written songs and one cover tune that we preform. Our style is on edge of hardcore metal. Hardcord +a groove you might say. Our band members consist of- Dave Boyer - guitar / vocals / lyrics Gene Arehart - vocals / percussion, Jake Jones - vocals / lyrics and myself - Gary Lankfort - bass. We currently do local shows. But have cut a demo and are in process of being added to a compliation c.d. of local christian bands.

Many thanks to Arni for being a great friend and all the help on finding my new bass. Keep up all the good work. It´s making a difference.

Basses:
2001 Ernie Ball Stingray 5-trans. red with a greypearl pickguard, maple neck, matching head-stock, 3 bad e.q. and sounds so fat!! Thanks Arni! 1987 Peavey Foundation custom, black with amatching headstock, rosewood neck, and heavyduty hardware. This was a lower end bass but very well constructed and still plays well as the day I bought it new.

Equipment:
Ampeg B2R rackmount 350 watt @ 4 ohm amp coupled with a BBE 462 clarifier. I run that thru a crate 2 x 15 bass cabinet. With the preamp onboard the Stingray - that´s all I need for a monster tone!!
